Holiday Picture Bloopers

Ok, I want you to picture this. I ask my parents to take a picture of Allie for Christmas. 84 pictures later, we finally get one. But now that Christmas is over, I need to share with you the bloopers!!

Now, just for a little background, in most of the pictures below, my mother is holding her just like this.....

only........with the white snow material over her head, yelling at my dad that she is suffocating, and my father is making baby noises, and telling her to shut up!!

PRICELESS!!!

Leaps and pounds!!

So I am officialy a working mother as of December 5th....wait scratch that...we are officially working parents!! It definitely takes the BOTH of us to get me and Allie out the door by 7am.

The fact that it's freezing out just makes it harder.....but we bundle up and head out

This is a rare smile....ususally as soon as I start layering her with clothes, she starts doing her Stevie Wonder impression, tossing her head back and forth trying to get herself out of the prison I put her in....but if I don't put her in 14 layers of clothes...her Grandmother yells at me!

The first week back at work was hard. I missed her terribly. Now I know how Mike felt when he went back after that first week off. I'm happy that she's with my mom, but I'm jealous that she gets all those smiles. Although there are plenty of them to go around...

Pretty much all you have to do is say Hi!! to her and she's smiling away.....shhhh don't tell my father that though....he thinks it's all him!

One thing going back to work did do is make me appreciate every minute that I do get to spend with her a little more (if that's even possible!!)

We got a ton of snow on Friday. About 9 - 10 inches!! Mike worked from home, and I called in a vacation day.

This is Diesel, the largest black lab you ever saw, who lives next door. He's standing guard on the hill while his daddy shovels off the deck. This is 7am and we already had 3 inches....and fallin fast!!

It was nice actually, because it shortened my first week back at work, and we all got to stay home and enjoy the snow day.

One of Allie's favorite things is to sit by the fireplace and stare at the flames.....she gets that from me! FIRE FIRE FIRE!!! heh heh

She has all of a suden started to eat more....she's been eating 6oz instead of 4....another growth spurt I guess. We had to actually go out and get bigger bottles

They are as big as her....it's hysterical. But I refuse to leave those Dr Brown bottles behind. She does so well on them, why mess with a good thing.

Feeding her more is starting her to sleep through the night, on the occation. The first two nights I started back to work she slept through both nights. I was in total shock!! I thought to myself...this kid knows I'm goin back to work, and just started sleeping through the night! But she's not there yet. She gives us a night or two a week, but it's a start!

We went to the doctor's today for her 2 month checkup. All that sleeping and eating is really doin a number on her though. She is 12lbs 10oz and 23 1/2 inches tall!!!

No WONDER all her 0-3 month clothes are starting to be too small!!

She also got three shots. =o(
One in her right leg and two in her left.
Poor thing screamed bloody murder.

But not 20 minutes after the shots, this is her smiling again!! Unbelievable!!
You wouldn't see ME smiling after all those shots!!!

Yesterday was our Christmas Reunion, and Allie met Santa for the first time....

luckily, she's too young to realize that she should be petrified of him! Don't worry I wont get used to that....it's only a matter of time!!!

To everyone I wont see...have a great holiday!
Jenn, Mike & Allie

8 weeks, and back to work on Monday =o(

Today Allie is 8 weeks old. She keeps changing everyday.
But she's still got that happy personality.
She smiles at everything & everyone!

She getting so strong, and holds her head up great!!

She loves watching football with mommy....
GO 49ers!!!

and car shows with dad.... at least someone will... lol

We are all doing good...and still learning as we go.
Mike and I learned how to give her a bath better and get all those hard to reach spots....

And she learned not to cry,
and to let us give her shampoo mohawks!!

We had Thanksgiving, our first holiday in the house.... and our first snowfall, all in the same day!

Of course we dressed her in her cutest outfit yet!

and she smiled the whole day!

I can't believe I have to go back to work on Monday =o(

How am I going to be able to leave this face?!?!?!
